LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a green rating system established by the USGBC (United States Green Building Council). This rating system is a certification process designed to set a standard for high-efficiency green buildings. A LEED accredited professional can suggest ways to earn LEED credits without extra cost, to identify means of offsetting certain expenses with savings in other areas and find opportunities for synergies in a project. SILVER STEP AWARD FOR SAFETY
Advanced Building Concepts has been awarded a Silver Step Award for Safety through the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC).

PORTSMOUTH ABBEY & SCHOOL NEWS
THE CHURCH OF SAINT GREGORY ABC has been working with the Portsmouth Abbey in conjunction with Newport Collaborative Architects to renovate this historic structure. The Church of Saint Gregory the Great is one of the sixteen buildings on campus designed by the world-renowned modernist architect, Pietro Belluschi. The interior features furniture by George Nakashima, stained glass by Belluschi, and 'The Trinity' by Richard Lippold, a gold wire altar canopy. The renovation project consists mainly of structural and envelope repairs as well as new finishes. The project is scheduled to begin in April of this year or perhaps next year, the project will be completed in nine months. If awarded the project, ABC plans to self perform exterior wall framing and trim, interior finish carpentry and general site labor, with it’s own forces.
